Sophie Abeysekera
Co-Founder & Director of EnglishSophie is a highly experienced English teacher, educational leader, and exam marker with over a decade of experience helping students achieve academic success. Holding a BA in English and a PGCE, she has been teaching since 2013 and has held leadership roles including Lead Teacher of English and Head of Department.
With extensive examiner insight and a proven track record of securing excellent GCSE results, Sophie combines expert subject knowledge with personalised support to help students build confidence, develop key skills, and reach their full potential.
As co-founder of The Words & Numbers Hub, Sophie is passionate about making high quality education accessible through one to one tuition, small group sessions, and carefully designed revision resources.
Jason Dancocks
Co-Founder & Director of MathematicsJason is an experienced Mathematics teacher and exam marker with a degree in Mathematics and a PGCE. Teaching since 2013, he has a proven track record of helping students build confidence, strengthen their mathematical understanding, and achieve excellent exam results.
Drawing on over a decade of classroom experience and valuable examiner insight, Jason provides targeted support, effective revision strategies, and expert exam technique to help students maximise their potential and succeed in Maths.
