Sophie Abeysekera
Co-Founder & Director of English
Sophie is a qualified English teacher with 13 years of teaching experience, a BA in English and a PGCE. She has held roles including Lead Teacher of English and Head of Department, alongside working as an exam marker.
She supports secondary and GCSE students in English Language and English Literature, helping them develop their reading, writing and analytical skills. Her examiner experience helps her explain what exam questions require and how students can communicate their ideas effectively.
Sophie combines clear guidance with patient encouragement, helping your child build confidence, tackle challenging texts and become a more independent learner.
Jason Dancocks
Co-Founder & Director of Mathematics
Jason is a qualified Maths teacher with 10 years of teaching experience, a degree in Mathematics and a PGCE. He also brings experience as an exam marker to his work with secondary and GCSE students.
He supports students at both Foundation and Higher tier, breaking difficult topics into manageable steps and helping them understand the reasoning behind each method. Lessons combine clear explanations, guided practice and feedback tailored to your child.
Whether your child needs to strengthen the basics or work towards a higher grade, Jason aims to build their confidence, problem-solving skills and willingness to have a go.
